OnLife® Cream for local application on hands and feet for symptoms caused by changes in the nerve fibers of the peripheral nerves in patients undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.
The OnLife® Cream is based on the "Fatty Acids Group," abbreviated as F.A.G.®. This is an innovative, standardized combination of polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids and other specific fatty acids such as palmitic and alpha-linolenic acids. OnLife® Cream possesses anti-inflammatory, nerve-protective, and pain-relieving physiological properties. Omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory effects and also contribute preventively to the protection and maintenance of nerve cell membrane function. In particular, alpha-linolenic acid from the omega-3 fatty acid group plays an important role in combating inflammatory processes. Palmitic acid is converted into the endocannabinoid PEA. PEA reduces the activity of certain immune cells (mast cells and macrophages), leading to an anti-inflammatory effect and helping to restore the over-stimulated nerve tissue to its natural balance. Additionally, it has nerve-protective and pain-relieving properties. Linoleic acid from the omega-6 fatty acid group in OnLife® Cream also exhibits strong anti-inflammatory and skin-protective properties.
In cases of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), where the function of cell membranes is disrupted by the nerve-damaging effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapies, OnLife® can be used to support the restoration of the correct function of the nerve cell membrane.
