Accu-Chek control solutions have been specifically designed for use with your meter and test strips to confirm the accuracy of your results. The control solution contains a known amount of glucose. Simply use it in place of blood on a test strip. If the result matches the expected glucose level, your meter and test strips are functioning properly. Perform a test with the control solution whenever you open a new box of test strips, if the test strip container has been left open, if you believe the test strips may be damaged, if you want to check your meter and test strips, if the test strips have been stored at extreme temperatures, high humidity, or both, if you have dropped the meter, if your test result does not match your feelings, or if you want to verify that you are performing the tests correctly.
