Before application, perform a patch test: Clean a small area of skin behind the ear or on the inside of the forearm with water and soap or alcohol. Apply a small amount of the ready-to-use hair dye to this area and let it dry. After 48 hours, gently wash the area of skin with water and soap. If there is no irritation or inflammation, it is generally assumed that there is no sensitivity to the dye. The test must be repeated for each application.
