Product details
X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the first chapter of the "X-Men" saga, connects Wolverine with some other legends of the "X-Men" universe. The mutants must fight in a great uprising of powerful forces determined to eliminate them.
Hugh Jackman once again slips into the role that made him a superstar. As Logan/Wolverine, he is a fearsome fighting machine, with incredible self-healing powers, blades of adamantium, and an unpredictable temperament. X-Men Origins: Wolverine follows the popular "X-Men" franchise in style and tonality, carefully balancing action elements and realism, but this time it focuses even more on emotions and the relationships between the individual characters.
The film also introduces a new team of mutants, including some that fans have long been waiting for. The spectators will get to know "Team X," a secret military unit consisting exclusively of mutants. Among its members are Wolverine; his brother Victor Creed, alias Sabretooth, a wild creature with almost unbelievable powers; Wade Wilson, who as mercenary Deadpool knows how to handle a sword; Agent Zero, an excellent tracker and sniper; the teleporter Wraith; Fred J. Dukes, an extremely strong, monstrous colossus, also known as The Blob; and Bradley, who can manipulate electricity. The troupe is led by William Stryker, who was already introduced in X2. This time his origins and motivations are fully revealed, as well as his complex relationship with Wolverine, which has to do with Logan's past—and also his future.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine also shows Wolverine's tragic romance with Kayla Silverfox. Kayla's fate is instrumental in Logan's exposure to the ominous, highly secret, and sinfully expensive "Weapon X" program. Besides Wolverine, other mutants are also involved in the experiment, including Gambit, the young Scott Summers (later known as Cyclops), the young and pretty Emma Frost, and the aforementioned Deadpool, who will ultimately present Wolverine with his greatest challenge.
