Ugears Carousel

This outstanding model is the representation of Ugears of the classic carousel in a high-quality wood finish, which shows the familiar and popular ride in a design thought out down to the smallest detail. Two types of carousel horses move up and down during the model's circular ride. At the heart of the model is a centre post that rotates in the opposite direction to the main platform. This makes the carousel appear to rotate faster than it actually does, creating a fascinating dynamic throughout the design. The post protrudes from the roof, giving the impression of greater fragility visually, but also giving the roof more volume. From a technical point of view, the carousel is based on the same principle as most of Ugears' self-propelled models: all the pieces of the puzzle are put together without glue or additional tools, and the driving power is provided by a rubber motor. Under the platform of the carousel there is a key to pull it up, which is used to tension the rubber bands connected to the main axle. The pendulum reduces the speed of the axle and slows down the movement of the modules and individual parts. The main axle is connected to the centre post by a planetary gear that ensures that it rotates in the opposite direction to the main platform. The roof is also connected to the main axle as well as to crankshafts that move the horses up and down while rotating around the center post.
