The Downfall

Berlin, late April 1945: The Red Army is advancing into the city of the Reich capital and is relentlessly moving toward the government district. A last stand of fanatical SS and HJ units is desperately trying, alongside mostly disillusioned Wehrmacht units, to stop the enemy's advance. In the Führerbunker beneath the new Reich Chancellery, Hitler has also realized at this point, after the last desperate attempt by the Wenck Army has failed, that the war is definitively lost, and he, along with Eva Braun, takes his own life to escape responsibility. There are different versions of "Downfall": - Theatrical version, 149 minutes - TV extended version, 170 minutes.
