The Da Vinci Code - Sacrilege

In the middle of the night, renowned Harvard professor Robert Langdon is called to the Louvre in Paris: the museum director has been murdered. His body, found in a position resembling Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, is the first gruesome clue in a mysterious chain of codes and symbols. At the risk of his life, Langdon, with the help of police cryptographer Sophie Neveu, deciphers hidden messages in Leonardo da Vinci's artworks. All point to a legendary brotherhood whose members have kept a powerful secret for 2000 years. The breathless chase takes Langdon and Sophie from Paris to London and then to Scotland; meanwhile, they desperately try to crack the code to reveal a secret that will shake humanity to its core.

This is the film version of the spectacular resolution of a murder case that uncovers the greatest cover-up in human history.

Directed by Ron Howard, produced by Brian Grazer, and written by Akiva Goldsman, the Oscar-winning team behind "A Beautiful Mind," based on the book by Dan Brown, one of the most successful and discussed novels of our time, featuring a star-studded cast led by two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Sir Ian McKellen, Alfred Molina, Jürgen Prochnow, Paul Bettany, and Jean Reno.
