On 5 September 1972, during the Olympic Games in Munich, members of the Palestinian terrorist organisation "Black September" invade the Olympic Village, kill two Israeli athletes and take nine others hostage. Their demand: the release of more than 200 political prisoners. But the Israeli government proves intransigent and the German authorities around police chief Schreiber (William Holden) plan a raid to free the athletes. When the terrorists feel cornered, they make good on their threat and kill their hostages. (1 DVD)
