Tamiya Honda S600

The display model is a replica of the Honda S600 Cabriolet, which was launched in March 1964. It was available as a roadster and as a fastback coupe, introduced in March 1965. The S600 was the first Honda offered in two trim levels. During its production until 1966, the model design remained largely unchanged, with the main modifications made to the grille, bumper, and headlights. The S600 produced 57 horsepower from a 606 cm³ 4-cylinder DOHC engine, which was competitive with racing engines, and featured chain-driven rear-wheel drive in a motorcycle style. Exports to Europe followed as the S600 quickly gained respect and became popular as a lightweight and fast sports car.
