Product details

The display model is a replica of the German Focke Wulf Fw190 D-9. The first variant of the Focke appeared in the autumn of 1941 over the English Channel. The Fw 190B used a BMW 801 turbocharged radial engine and a pressurized cockpit, but only a small number were built. The successor version FW 190C was then powered by a 1,750 hp Daimler-Benz inline engine. Production of the Fw190D-9 began in 1944, and it entered combat in September 1944. The fighter aircraft was replaced by the new Me262 Messerschmitt jet fighters, which were introduced shortly thereafter.
