The stand model is a replica of the British tank MK. IV Male, which was a successor to the MK. I, one of the first tanks used in World War I, designed to overcome the stalemates of trench warfare on the Western Front. The MK. I was first deployed in 1916 and had both male and female versions. This foundation was subsequently adopted for the successor tank, the MK. IV.
