Product details

The display model is a replica of the Douglas F4D Skyray, developed due to the US armed forces. This was the only operational interceptor with delta wings in the US Navy. The first prototype of the F4D took its maiden flight in 1951. The Skyray immediately set new standards in 1953 with a top speed of 1,211 km/h. With numerous improvements, the F4D-1 variant joined the squadron in June 1954. The distinctive 50-degree swept wings with rounded tips were equipped with leading-edge slats and trailing-edge flaps.
