The model is a replica of the Junkers JU-87 B-2 Stuka. The dive bomber Junkers Ju-87 earned its famous nickname "Stuka" from the German term for dive bomber. Despite this nickname, its poor aerodynamics, and the lack of defensive armament, this aircraft proved to be very effective in the early stages of the war, as it could accurately hit a target during a nose dive—most aircraft of World War II did not possess this capability.
