The Toyota Soarer made its debut in 1981 and gained immense popularity due to its elegant style and luxurious features. The highest trim of the second-generation Soarer, which underwent a complete model change in January 1986, is the 3.0GT Limited. The body, inherited from the first generation, featured further refined aerodynamic properties and was equipped with the 7M-GTEU engine, a turbocharged inline-six with dual overhead camshafts and 24 valves, producing 230 horsepower, the strongest domestically produced engine at that time. Developed by combining the best modern automotive technology, the Soarer was not only on par with the world's GT cars but also established itself as a top-class personal coupe that embodied all of Toyota's technology.
