"Gran Turismo" fan Jann Mardenborough has won a series of video game competitions thanks to his gaming skills. When the teenager came out on top against 90,000 competitors in the GT Academy Contest and became the youngest champion of the competition, he was allowed to represent Nissan in the 24-hour race in Dubai. Racing legend Jack Salter trains the young Brit to become a professional driver. The trainer impressed upon him: "If you go off the track in the game, you restart. If that happens in reality, you can die!"

GRAN TURISMO combines the spectacular racing action of the world-famous video game series with Jann Mardenborough's true success story. Neill Blomkamp ("Elysium") directed the harmonious mixture of fast-paced sports and romantic coming-of-age drama. The cast is a small sensation: shooting star Archie Madekwe ("Midsommar") plays the young racing driver, David Harbour ("Stranger Things") his instructor. Other roles include Orlando Bloom ('The Lord of the Rings'), Thomas Kretschmann ('Avengers: Age of Ultron') and Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.
