Roden Nieuport 27

The Nieuport 27 was the last model of the well-known French fighter family of World War I, whose lineage began in 1916 with the famous Nieuport 11 Bébé. The aircraft was an improved version of its predecessor, the Nieuport 24, featuring a design that resolved certain structural problems, particularly with the tail surfaces. However, the Nieuport 27 appeared too late and could not compete with newer fighters such as the SPAD S.XIII, resulting in almost all completed aircraft of this type being sent to training units. Apart from France, the Nieuport 27 was used by the Royal Flying Corps, the USA, Italy, Japan, and Soviet Russia.
