Product details
Nieuport 24bis: A French fighter from the WWI period, developed by Gustave Delage from its predecessor, the Nieuport 24. This type of aircraft featured a tail assembly from an earlier configuration, prior to that used by the Nieuport 24. The Nieuport 24bis appeared in the middle of 1917, at a time when most Nieuports were being replaced by the modern SPAD fighter, which limited its combat use. In addition to France, the Nieuport 24bis was also flown by the U.S., Britain, Soviet Russia, and Poland. The famous French ace Charles Nungesser flew a Nieuport 24bis in combat.
