Lockheed C-140A Jetstar is an American administrative jet plane that first flew in 1957. Series production lasted from 1961 to 1979, during which time 204 units were built. Its principal task was the transportation of VIPs. In addition to the U.S. Air Force, it was used by the Air Forces of Canada and Germany, and was exported to Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, and Iraq. Several private planes of this type continue to be used today.
