DH9 Ambulance - conversion of the well-known two-seat bomber of WWI, the de Havilland DH9, enabling it to transport a casualty under a large hood over the modified rear fuselage. At first sight, the DH9 Ambulance was quite different from the fighting machine, with its special fairing behind the cockpit. This airplane was not a standard production type, and its use was brief, lasting until the mid 1920s.
