Revell USS Arizona Battleship

The Arizona was sunk on December 7, 1941, during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor by Nakajima B5N bombers and became a symbol of American humiliation. Scale 1/426. 133 parts. 43.2 cm in length. Suitable for ages 12 and up.

On the morning of December 7, 1941, everything was calm in Pearl Harbor, and the sun was shining. The Arizona had just returned from fleet maneuvers and was moored alongside other battleships along the coast of Ford Island. Most of the crew was having breakfast at that time. The silence was shattered by gunfire and the sound of bombs, and as the sailors rushed on deck, they realized their ship was under attack. In a horrifying moment, the Arizona was hit on the port side by a torpedo, "amidships" by a large bomb, and on the forward deck by an armor-piercing bomb. 1,100 sailors lost their lives. To honor the men of the Arizona, a simple memorial plaque was placed above the ship, and a flagpole was erected.
