Product details

The AEC Routemaster long, RML for short, produced from 1965 onwards, offered space for a total of 72 passengers. The brilliant success with 15 test vehicles was so convincing that a further 500 examples of the RML were ordered. The open boarding platform for quick boarding and alighting was particularly popular. With the constant presence of the red double-deckers on almost all routes in the inner city area of London, the image of the Routemaster as a typical landmark of the capital was quickly consolidated.
