Revell Harbour Tug Boat

When cargo ships approach their destination port after thousands of nautical miles, a challenging section still lies ahead. This is where the harbor tugboats come into play, taking command and safely guiding the massive vessels to the dock. Tugboats do not carry cargo; instead, they are used for maneuvering and pushing large tankers and cargo ships. These small, sturdy, yet highly maneuverable boats are equipped with powerful engines ranging from 250 to several thousand horsepower. Their wheelhouses are designed as tall structures to ensure a good all-around view for safe navigation through the narrow harbor area. The stern, bow, and sidewalls are usually reinforced and additionally equipped with fenders. They feature a single-piece hull, bow protection, structured superstructures, a lifeboat, two masts, a rescue boat, and a dinghy. The crew consists of a captain and two sailors, and the model includes two display stands and detailed decals.
