Product details

Baron Manfred von Richthofen and his red Fokker triplane made history during World War I. The Dr. 1 was the most maneuverable of all the aircraft used and achieved high climb rates. The Dr. 1s delivered to the troops in June 1917 were withdrawn from the front by the end of 1917, but Richthofen continued to fly it until April 1918. New kit form. Detailed surfaces with fine details. Detailed cockpit with control stick and seat. Two detailed "Spandau" machine guns. Detailed radial engine. Movable propeller. Decals for two versions: Fokker DR.1 flown by Rittmeister Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen, commander of Squadron 1 (Jastas 4, 6, 10 & 11), March 1918. Fokker DR.1 flown by Leutnant Lothar von Richthofen, commander of Jasta 11, Lechelle, March 1918.
