The BMW i8 embodies a forward-thinking sports car with the latest revolutionary technology. The rear axle of the plug-in hybrid is powered by a 3-cylinder engine that, despite its 1.5-liter displacement, produces a robust 170 kW (231 hp) and a torque of 320 Nm under the pressure of two turbochargers. The front axle draws its power from an electric motor delivering 96 kW (131 hp). Thanks to intelligent energy management, the interaction between both types of engines is optimally coordinated. The result: true sports car performance while maintaining the fuel consumption and emissions values of a compact car. The i8 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and reaches BMW's typical top speed of 250 km/h. Faithfully replicated multi-part bodywork. Multi-part 3-cylinder engine. Very detailed replica of the electric motor. Doors can be built to open or close. Detailed interior with authentic dashboard. Structured front seats and authentic emergency seats.
