Revell 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner

In the late 1960s, as enthusiasm for Muscle Cars surged, it seemed there was a market that could be served with more affordable models. Plymouth responded with the 1968 Road Runner, which combined all the strengths of a Muscle Car but lacked the fancy extras found in relatively expensive performance cars. The absence of frills helped keep the price of the Road Runner low, which was exactly what many buyers were looking for. The redesigned 1970 Road Runner was part of Plymouth's new "Rapid Transit System" family of high-performance vehicles. Quirky new features included optional "Dust Trail" side stripes and a wild collection of eye-catching "High Impact" paint colors. The optional 440+6 engine featured a trio of 2-barrel carburetors, producing 390 horsepower and a robust torque of 490 lb-ft. With this setup, a Road Runner could complete the quarter-mile in the mid-13 second range at over 102 mph.
