Product details

This is a carbon fibre CFRP round bar with a fibre content of 63%. The rod is pultruded (extruded). Due to this manufacturing process, the fibres are unidirectional, arranged in the longitudinal direction. This results in a high fibre content, but the rods are susceptible to shear stress. For cutting, we therefore recommend that you use a diamond cutting disc or saw and not a side cutter. Carbon has excellent mechanical and thermal properties, and is perfect for applications where strength and lightness are required. The surface is slightly porous and is great for bonding to 3D printed parts. It can be used to construct lightweight, complex and stable frameworks for model making, for example.
