Plaion The Boxtrolls

In the cheese-crazy town of Cheesebridge, the situation is critical. At night, the Boxtrolls come out. These nasty creatures from the underground steal the beloved cheese and the children of the town. At least that's what the troll hunter Archibald Snatcher claims, and his story is, of course, pure nonsense. The Boxtrolls, like the young Eggs, are lovable, cozy companions who live in a fantastic realm beneath Cheesebridge. But when Eggs' adoptive father is kidnapped by the bumbling hunters, he must venture to the surface to put a stop to Snatcher and his minions.

The popular book series "The Monsters of Rattingen" served as the inspiration for this magnificent puppet adventure, which bursts with energy at the seams. With great attention to detail, the already legendary animation studio Laika tells a story about how prejudices are fueled by the fear of the unknown.
