Inspired by the diesel-electric locomotive SD40-2 from the American EMD Inc. dating back to 1972, the Mould King 12027 SD40-2 diesel locomotive set measures over 60 cm in length and is complemented by a multifunctional platform with a crane and transport truck, which is 28.5 cm long and 27 cm high. The Mould King SD40-2 is not just about size; thanks to its modular design, the cabin and cargo containers are removable, allowing for dynamic play as the crane transfers containers from the locomotive to the truck. With 1170 pieces, builders can replicate the bright yellow-red color scheme typical of Union Pacific, paying homage to the classic design.
