Momo

The story follows the orphan Momo, who leads an idyllic life with her friends until one day the gray gentlemen arrive. They steal time from people, making the world cold and loveless. But with the help of the wise turtle Kassiopeia and Master Hora, the guardian of time, Momo takes on the fight against the time thieves. Michael Ende's book, published in 1973, found millions of readers in Germany alone and has been translated into 27 languages - a worldwide success! The author explicitly approved this film adaptation. He co-wrote the screenplay and appears as himself in the prologue of the film.
