Product details

The film title really is a motto: Why go to the trouble of robbing a bank when you can take the whole bank with you? Sure, it's not always easy, but if the bank isn't firmly walled in, you can simply take the entire makeshift building in order to get your hands on the cash. And this bizarrely funny idea is the subject of the bank robbery comedy "The Bank Shot".

The film is an adaptation of the crime novel Bank Shot from the John Archibald Dortmunder series by US author Donald E. Westlake from 1972. The director Gower Champion was actually a musical choreographer and dancer and was active on Broadway.
Oscar winner George C. Scott ("Patton") shines in the leading role.
"Let's Steal the Whole Bank" is a hilarious crook comedy whose charm endures to this day. It can definitely be categorised alongside legendary bank robbery movies from the 1960s/70s such as "Bonnie & Clyde", "Two Bandits - Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" or "Four Weird Birds".
