ORASTICK® is the ironable and blow-dryable adhesive film. In terms of properties, ORACOVER® and ORASTICK® are identical and can be processed together. However, the fundamental difference between the two products lies in the adhesive layer. While ORACOVER® is equipped with a heat-activated adhesive, ORASTICK® features a self-adhesive bonding agent. The ORASTICK® standard color range includes 27 colors that have been popular for years.
Our tip: Unstable wood fibers can become unstable and tear under stress. Wrinkling and, in the worst case, complete detachment of the fabric are the consequences. For optimal pre-treatment of your wooden surface, we recommend applying the ORASTICK® adhesive to the areas to be ironed. The ORASTICK® adhesive penetrates the wood and bonds the loose wood fibers in the core wood. This achieves excellent 3-D adhesion of the ORASTICK® film to the substrate. With the ORASTICK® adhesive, no further pre-treatment of the wood is necessary.
Application of the ORASTICK® adhesive:
1. Sand your wood thoroughly and remove the sanding dust.
2. Stir the contents of the can well.
3. Apply the ORASTICK® adhesive 1-2 times thinly and evenly using a brush.
4. Allow the adhesive to dry overnight, but for at least 10 hours.
5. Cover or stick your model as usual with the ORASTICK® adhesive film.
Coverage: approximately 1 can / 1 m². Not suitable for substrates that are not resistant to organic solvents. ORASTICK® special thinner: If our adhesives in opened cans dry out slightly, the adhesive can be adjusted back to brush viscosity with the appropriate thinner.
