Kosmos Lunar landscapes

Since 2009, NASA's "Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter" (LRO) has been orbiting the Moon, photographing and mapping its surface. State-of-the-art photography allows for angled views of craters and mountains, as well as 3D images that truly impress. Newly formed craters have been discovered, and even the footprints of Apollo astronauts have been recorded. This elaborately designed volume presents the landscapes of our celestial neighbor in a completely new light. In addition to a complete lunar atlas, enhanced by the fantastic imagery from the LRO, it provides information on the latest research findings, describes the Moon as a night sky object and celestial body, and reports on past and future lunar missions.
