Kapla wooden planks are made from high-quality pine wood. The Kapla wooden planks are PEFC certified and sourced from pine forests in the southwestern French region of Landes, ensuring sustainable forestry practices. The sophisticated design is based on the three-dimensional golden ratio 1 - 3 - 5 - 15, meaning that three times the thickness equals the width, five times the width equals the length, and fifteen times the thickness again results in the length. These precise measurements offer limitless design possibilities and inspire maximum creativity, teamwork, and playfulness in children, teenagers, and adults alike. Kapla wooden planks are neither connected with pegs, screws, nor any other means. The wooden planks are simply placed loosely on top of one another, resulting in sometimes fragile and daring works of art. This allows for the exploration of statics to the utmost limit.
