Product details
The display model is a replica of the Harrier GR. 3 from the Falklands War. The Harrier is probably the most famous aircraft with vertical and short takeoff and landing capabilities in military history. Designed and developed by the British manufacturer Hawker Siddeley in the 1960s, it actively participated in military operations during the Falklands or Malvinas War in 1982. Specifically, the Harrier GR. 3, marked by the addition of new features such as a nose-mounted laser tracker and integrated electronic countermeasures, was very effective in close support and ground attack missions for the British Royal Air Force. With two 30mm cannons mounted under the fuselage, the Harrier could carry a significant amount of offensive weapons, including missiles, conventional bombs, and laser-guided bombs. The ability to carry two drop tanks under the wings also increased its range.
This detailed model kit is in 1:72 scale. The display model has dimensions of 15.3 cm in length. The high-quality kit from Italeri requires assembly by the user. The self-assembly is accompanied by a step-by-step or illustrated assembly guide included in the package. Based on the instructions, the precisely fitting individual parts must be assembled. Painting of the parts can be done according to personal preferences. Tools, glue, and paints are not included in the plastic kit and must be purchased separately.
