The display model is a replica of the Lockheed F-35A Lightning II in the CTOL version (Conventional Takeoff and Landing). The JSF Joint Strike Fighter program was initiated to develop a new all-weather multirole combat aircraft of the fifth generation, intended to replace the existing strike fighters of the United States and NATO. The aerospace industry team led by Lockheed Martin developed the single-seat, single-engine F-35 Lightning II. It employs stealth technology and features trapezoidal wings, as well as the use of cutting-edge high-tech materials and avionics systems. It was designed to perform air superiority, air support, and ground attack missions. There are various configurations: the F-35A is the conventional takeoff and landing variant, the F-35B is the short takeoff and vertical landing variant, and the F-35C with folding wings was developed for use with conventional aircraft carriers. Thanks to its operational flexibility, advanced onboard technology, and impressive project innovation, the F-35 Lightning II will be a reference aircraft in military aviation of the 21st century.
