Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), who has just saved New York City from destruction, faces an opponent whose reach seems limitless. The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), the head of the terrorist organization "The Ten Rings," destroys the entire life of the famous Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man. He must confront the extremely difficult task of restoring his world and protecting those closest to him—especially his great love, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow). Once again, he needs all his courage and skills. However, Stark's situation is anything but promising. He is backed into a corner and must rely on his own strengths: his ingenuity and good instincts. Step by step, he fights his way forward, but to win this time, he must also confront the question that has long troubled him: Does his suit make him a hero, or is he already a hero who simply wears a suit?.
