Product details
The 81.4 mm GrW 34 mortar was the standard mortar of the German Army during World War II. It was developed by Rheinmetall-Borsig AG in 1932 and produced by various manufacturers from 1934 to 1945. The maximum range was 2400 meters, and it included various types of ammunition: fragmentation, smoke, illumination, and special impact bombs. The mortar was the standard weapon of the German infantry battalion, with six units of this weapon type being part of the machine gun companies of these battalions. Overall, the infantry divisions of the Wehrmacht had 54 such mortars, and in this regard, the German Army was significantly superior in numbers to the armies of its opponents (except for the Red Army). There were also self-propelled versions of the mortar.
