Humbrol No 144 Intermediate Blue Matt

Usage

A solvent-based, fast-drying paint designed for use on plastic model kits, but can also be used on other surfaces. Matte, satin, gloss, metallic, metalcoat, and clear coat finishes are available (the gloss level varies depending on the color).

Surface

A variety of surfaces, including most plastics, wood, glass, ceramics, metal, cardboard, sealed plaster, sealed hardboard, and more (always check suitability on a small test area first).

Coverage

A 14 ml can covers approximately 0.3 m², depending on the thickness of application.

Application

Apply directly from the can with a brush. For airbrushing, use a suitable thinner such as Humbrol Enamel Thinners. Two thin coats are preferable to one thick coat. The usual thinning ratio is 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner. Note that metalcoat paints are intended to be polished once fully dry.

Drying Time

Gloss: 1-2 hours. Matte & Satin: 20-40 minutes to dust dry, up to 24 hours for fully dry. Metallics: fully dry after about 10 days. Drying times vary depending on ambient temperature and humidity. Recoating: at least 6 hours (preferably overnight).

Cleaning

Brushes: Use Humbrol Enamel Thinners. Airbrush: rinse thoroughly with Humbrol Enamel Thinners. The product is permanent once dry.
