Product details
As one of the most successful Soviet jet fighters of the post-war period, the MiG 17 was sought after by other Warsaw Pact countries looking to enhance their own air defense capabilities. Poland received a license to manufacture the aircraft in 1955, and over the next five years, approximately 477 aircraft were built for use by the Polish Air Force as well as for export. The MiG-17 aircraft produced in Poland were known as Lim-5, which translates to "aircraft built under license No. 5.".
