The Super Puma (AS 332 M1 AS 532 UL) belongs to the transport helicopter family built by Eurocopter, which includes the Puma, Super Puma, EC 225, and EC 725. From 1987 to 1995, the DGA (French defense procurement agency) ordered 27 Cougars. The Cougar is a twin-engine, medium-lift helicopter (9 tons) and the upgraded version incorporates specialized equipment that provides navigation capabilities and night vision for missions. The main tasks of the Cougar include tactical transport, both during the day and at night.
