Includes glue, brush, primary colors. The UH 145 (the military version of the Eurocopter EC 145) was selected by the US Army for the LUH (Light Utility Helicopter) program. The contract called for the delivery of 352 units. The UH-145 was intended to replace the UH1H Huey and the OH58 Kiowa. The first UH-145 was delivered to the US Army on Monday, December 11, 2006. The Army traditionally names its helicopters after Native American tribes. The new aircraft, designated UH-72A, was named after the Sioux tribe "Lakota." The EC 145 is a twin-engine multipurpose helicopter in the 3 to 4-ton class, with up to 10 seats for pilots and passengers.
