Well, it has happened. Cobi can finally say that the German Tiger 131 in 1:12 scale, based on the legendary tank at the Bovington Tank Museum, has become a reality. It's coming. It's huge. It's extremely detailed and the most impressive set that Cobi has ever produced. The set (No. 2801) of the PzKpfw Tiger "131" Tank VI in the brand new 1:12 scale matches other benchmark-setting sets in terms of size and detail accuracy, such as the Bismarck from 2018 and even the PT-109, which brought Cobi into the realm of collector sets with over 3,000 pieces. However, the release of the Tiger 131 in this latest scale represents a completely new level of design sophistication and detail accuracy for Cobi, setting a new standard for signature sets.

With nearly 8,000 pieces, this set is in a class of its own based solely on its dimensions. When assembled, the Tiger 131 is almost 70 cm long and weighs an incredible 6 kilograms. That alone would be an impressive building and display piece, but the new 1:12 scale Tiger takes it to another level with its intricate interior and exterior design, entirely new parts, and brand-new features. Firstly, the interior of the tank is detailed in every section, down to the shells for the main gun, dials, switches, and buttons, and even an incredibly photorealistic engine.
