The Boeing 737 represents the largest family of twin-engine narrow-body passenger aircraft in the world. Since 1967, when the first Boeing 737-100 was delivered to Lufthansa, new versions have continuously been introduced to the market, and currently, the 3rd and 4th generations are being produced simultaneously. Originally designed as a short-haul aircraft, the NG versions (Next Generation) and 737 MAX are typical medium-haul aircraft. Certain models are even used for long-haul flights. Passenger capacity ranges from 125 passengers in a 737-700 to 220 in a 737-900ER (extended range). Due to technical issues, all aircraft in the 737 MAX series must be equipped with a third angle of attack sensor, which is why the 737 MAX7 and its sister model 737 MAX10 are still awaiting certification. The modifications must be completed no later than three years after the certification of the MAX10, which is expected to occur in 2023. The 737 MAX8 is based on the 737-800 but is equipped with more powerful engines, significantly altering the aircraft's aerodynamics.
