The old engine shed is always bustling with activity, and there’s always plenty to do! James and Julia have just arrived with a handcar. James is on duty tonight and is patiently waiting for the next scheduled arrival. One shift follows another, and tonight a large locomotive will soon arrive for routine maintenance after a long journey.

Inside the shed, Robert is diligently cutting wire. Julia is making sure all the lanterns are functioning properly, while Frank is maintaining the old lathe.

Andrea is taking a coffee break in the small hut. In the back of the hut, Sam is feeding Oscar, his beautiful and well-behaved shepherd dog. Oscar's job is to guard the gate, so think twice before entering uninvited!

The old engine shed is made of bricks and features six large windows and two big doors, allowing locomotives to come in and out freely. Two large chimneys and a fan provide ventilation.

Inside the shed, there is a fully equipped workshop. Among the numerous machines and tools are: an old lathe, a vise, a bench drill, an oxy-acetylene welder, mallets, hammers, and many other useful devices.

At the top of the building, right under the roof, there is a fully functional overhead crane that can lift and move the heavy engines of the locomotives. At the front of the shed, a pump supplies the locomotives with water, and at the back, there is a small shed with a small office and a stove.

The old engine shed can accommodate a locomotive up to 37 studs long, while its car can enter through the front tracks. In total, exactly 2331 pieces were used.
