The second part of the early masterpieces includes the four films:

"On the Sunny Side" (1919): The village of Sunnyside would be a true idyll if it weren't for a tyrannical boss, rampaging bulls, and wealthy city dwellers making life difficult for Charlie.

"Pleasant Hours" (1919): A family outing turns into a true fiasco: all the passengers become seasick on the boat trip, and on the way back, Charlie's car gets stuck in fresh tar.

"The Idle Class" (1921): Charlie in a famous double role: as a distracted husband who even forgets to put on his pants, and as a tramp. A masked ball leads to considerable complications.

"Pay Day" (1922): Charlie starts working in construction. However, the hard labor only pays a pittance, which is then claimed by his domineering wife.
