Advanced grandchildren

After her year in New Zealand, Karin (Maren Kroymann) returns to Germany full of enthusiasm and energy. And she will need plenty of both: Together with her friends Philippa (Barbara Sukowa) and Gerhard (Heiner Lauterbach), she takes over the management of a student shop - complete with pubescent teenagers, wild party nights, and romantic entanglements for both young and old. The new challenges are undoubtedly significant and turn the lives of everyone involved upside down.

The top-notch cast of this feel-good comedy, which continues the cinematic success of "Grandchildren for Beginners," includes main actors Maren Kroymann, Heiner Lauterbach, and Barbara Sukowa, as well as Günther Maria Halmer, Ercan Durmaz, Marie Burchard, Imogen Kogge, and Johannes Allmayer. Gerhard's god-grandson Viktor, portrayed by Bruno Grüner in the first film, keeps the seniors on their toes once again. Additionally, there are Yasmin, Emma, Noah, and the cheeky trio Josie, Jason, and Jackie.

Following the huge box office success of "Grandchildren for Beginners," director Wolfgang Groos collaborated again with Claussen+Putz Filmproduktion. The screenplay was written by comedy award winner and author Robert Löhr.
