Product Name: 1:9 Suzuki RG500 XR27 Team H.B.S. 1978
The Suzuki RG 500 is regarded as an iconic racing machine of the 1970s. This motorcycle was specifically developed for motorsport by the Japanese manufacturer Suzuki. At its core was a reliable and powerful 4-cylinder 500cc 2-stroke engine, which produced up to 90 horsepower in 1974 and later (in 1977) even 120 horsepower. Suzuki began participating in the World Championships in the 500cc class with the RG 500 starting in 1974. British rider Barry Sheene won the World Championship title on the RG 500 in 1976 and 1977. Production of the racing machine was discontinued in 1985. However, Suzuki simultaneously launched the RG 500 Gamma, a production motorcycle directly derived from the racing machine.
