New Parts

The medium low-wing bomber Heinkel He-111 formed the backbone of the Luftwaffe's bombing divisions in the early years of World War II. It was distinguished by the introduction of two engines, like many other aircraft of that era with similar characteristics, but also by the implementation of innovative solutions such as an all-metal structure. With its two Jumo 211 engines, the aircraft was capable of reaching a maximum speed of 440 km/h and could carry over 2,000 kg of bombs in its internal cargo hold. Easily recognizable by its large glazed cockpit, wing profile, and tail design, it was frequently used by the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain in 1940 for both daytime bombing raids and nighttime "attacks," which heavily impacted cities and industrial areas. The Heinkel He-111 was regularly developed and modified, but soon became outdated during the course of the war.
