Product Name: 1:500 Colosseum
The model is a replica of the Colosseum. The construction of the Flavian Amphitheater, known worldwide as the Colosseum, began in 72 AD under Emperor Vespasian and was completed just eight years later under Emperor Titus. It was built from travertine and tuff stones and is the largest amphitheater in the world. It is regarded as a symbol of the majesty of imperial Rome.
The Colosseum was used to host the favorite shows of Roman society, such as animal fights, primarily featuring imports from Africa and the Middle East, and gladiatorial contests. The Colosseum can accommodate up to 80,000 spectators, who can exit quickly at the end of the shows thanks to a modern design of seating, stairs, and tunnels.
Special textile covers, known as the "Velarium," operated by experienced sailors from the military fleet of Misenum, also provided effective protection against the sun or inclement weather. Today, the Colosseum is one of the most visited monuments in the world and one of the most recognized symbols of Rome and Italy.
