1:48 Northrop F-5E Tiger II

The Northrop F-5 was developed in the 1960s to meet the needs of several NATO member states that required a simple, economical, and easy-to-maintain multirole fighter aircraft. From the original airframe, the F-5E Tiger II was born in the early 1970s. Equipped with a pair of new J85-GE-21 engines that deliver significantly more power and thrust than the predecessor version, the model featured an extended and enlarged fuselage. The improved flight performance achieved with the new aerodynamic layout, along with greater range and enhanced avionics, has led to the Tiger II being successfully used by numerous air forces. The basic equipment includes two 20-mm cannons installed in the nose below the cockpit, with the option to use various combinations of air-to-air missiles. In addition to its primary role as a fighter, it also retained extensive ground attack capabilities.
